Project Background:
Ashwood Park is a boutique development of contemporary one and two-bedroom residential apartments in Basingstoke. The once commercial office site benefits from a modernised renovation featuring James Hardie® façade panels that perfectly complement the surrounding trees on the development.
After the developer consulted James Hardie® to discuss installation methods, they soon decided on face-fixing with colour-matched screws and rivets. This alternate route to façade cladding installation avoids several requirements for expensive additional subframe components and offers much more design freedom, both of which were key requirements for this project.
Being James Hardie®’s first point of contact for supplying guaranteed colour-matched fixings across their whole collection of panel colours and finishes, they offered our contact details to the contractor who began discussing the project with our Regional Sales Manager Mamdouh Alsafadi. He explained:
“Shortly after receiving the enquiry, I connected with the contractor to discuss the project and learn more about the application. The panels from James Hardie® were installed on two different subframe types (steel and aluminium), so two of our products were required for each subframe material.
We then arranged for offcuts of the panels to be sent to our lab for testing and creating samples. Within 48 hours we returned a handful of colour-matched fixings which received approval from the contractor where we began production of the remaining quantity in the order.
This project received 172,000 in Timber Bark and 53,000 in Iron Grey, all benefitting from our 25-year finish guarantee.”
A Seamless Finish
Our specialist colour matching service across all products help many projects save time and costs whilst achieving a seamless finish once complete.
The contractor was very appreciative of our communication throughout their order and the overall turnaround time. In just under 5 days we had sourced, painted and delivered the screws to the site ready for installation the next week and the end result was fantastic.
